Amazing fjord views.
We booked a junior suite but were given a smaller balcony room instead. The manager's attitude about the reservation oversight was uncalled for. The buffet dinner was mediocre and offered limited variety .

The position of the hotel was stunning, up to the top of the mountains.

A family room with a brilliant view of the mountains and fjords, had requested this in advance. We had an electric kettle and glassware in the room.
The setting was not good.

Beautiful and modern hotel with comfortable bedrooms.
Too expensive as all Norway.

Well positioned at the end of the fjord, it is a short walk to the fabulous Flambana, an unparalleled train journey into the mountains. The rooms are sparse. At 6.00 pm the 4th floor bar actually had no bar, the 3rd floor bar had no barman and the lobby bar was full of bus tourists.
Because it caters for bus tours, you have to time dinner well or wait until they are all attended to. It was always difficult to find help in the reception area and the room telephone information was out of date. As a result, I had to physically go to reception to book for dinner. The hotel is understaffed and this causes delays in dinner, breakfast, etc.

Strongly recommend for a transient visit
Comfortable room, convenient location, the lounge made it easy to catch the ferry with a warm welcome drink to start our day.
There was nothing I didn't like.

Wonderful restaurant service and buffet is excellent. Convenient to anywhere and any activities.
Receiption quality is behind the overall service standard level. They should be more warm and friendly with the good recommendation to guest.

Quiet location for our parents who travelled with us.
We paid for 3 rooms and 1 of the rooms had not tea and coffee facility or tv. There were no safe in area of the rooms. We surprised that the most expensive room "fjord view" that we bought for parents in law was not renovated or stylish as the other rooms. It could have been any standard room anywhere. Dirty cups were not removed from our room, no milk supplied when we received a kettle and our phone did not work. Felt it was very stingy.

The location is perfect, just a short walk to the fine fjord and train station. My room had amazing views of the mountains. Breakfast was amazing, with delicious options from waffles to local cheeses. The lobby and bar areas were very nice too.
100% recommend

It was centrally located
The room I booked was called mountain view, unfortunately you have to try and look past the cruise ships. Not the fretheim' s fault as so many cruise ships come in to Flam.

It was very central. It has a great restaurant-cafe with a quiet terrace with a view. The main lobby is well designed. There is free access to laundry machines, including free soap. Unfortunately there are no instructions in English and I ruined some of my white t-shirts for choosing the wrong option. Breakfast is generous and has great choice.
The room I had, on the top floor, had a great triangular mansard window with a view. Unfortunately, the rest of the room was very bland (unlike the lobby). It seemed more like a dorm room in a youth hostel. Plus the walls are so thin I could hare the neighbor snoring. The heating of the bathroom floor was set at maximum and could not be controlled.
